Hi, everyone! Welcome to ROBOTOBZOR! On January 4, at the world famous CES 2022 exhibition, the new robot vacuum cleaner from Roborock brand was presented. The model`s name is Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. Now I will try to briefly describe new features and capabilities of the robot vacuum cleaner.
One of the key features of the model is a self-cleaning station that comes with the most advanced version of the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. This station is capable of both: Auto Dust Emptying and Auto Mop-Cleaning. Now it is possible, as the station has not only a container for dust, but also two tanks: for clean and dirty water. Moreover, at the station, the robot can refuel with clean water from the station’s tank. As per manufacturer, Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra can complete the wet cleaning on an area of up to 300 sq. m. without human interaction.
The next major upgrade was noticed in object recognition system that was previously implemented in the Roborock S6 MaxV. The updated technology is called ReactiveAI 2.0. In addition to the active camera, a system of 3D sensors and an RGB camera are installed on board.
Roborock S7 MaxV detects objects on the floor extremely accurately for further avoiding them during cleaning. In this case, all identified items are displayed with the corresponding icons on the map.
Well, thanks to the active camera, you can also remotely monitor your home and even make video calls for remote communication. You can tell the cat: “Stop!” If you see that the cat is scratching your favorite sofa when there is no one around 🙂
The cleaning module remains the same when compared to the previously released Roborock S7. The robot vacuum cleaner uses a silicone main brush, a side brush and a vibrating cloth platform for cleaning. When driving onto carpets, the platform with a napkin rises 5 mm upward, which allows the robot to perform dry and wet cleaning at the same time, and even clean the carpets, leaving them dry.
Besides, according to the manufacturer, Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra charges 30% faster than the previous model and can build a 3D map of the premises in a mobile application.
Speaking of characteristics, only the suction power was increased, now it reaches 5100 Pa. The figure is twice as high as that of previous models and that’s cool.
At the moment we are not aware of the price range of Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra and when exactly it will be released for sale. But it is confirmed that the robot vacuum cleaner will be sold in three versions: Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra with a base for unloading garbage and mop-cleaning, Roborock S7 MaxV Plus with a station only for unloading garbage from a dust collector, and Roborock S7 MaxV with a conventional charging base.
There is information that the Roborock S7 MaxV series can be ordered from the second quarter of 2022. At the moment, the company has confirmed that the S7 MaxV Ultra will cost $1,399.99 in the US and 1,399 euros in Europe. For comparison, the S7 MaxV Plus will cost 999 euros, and the standard S7 MaxV — 799 euros.
This is all information as of now. I hope it will be possible to test the robot vacuum cleaner in the most advanced configuration as soon as possible to find out whether the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra deserves to be considered the best robot vacuum cleaner of 2022.
