Easy HomeVac S11 Reach: the first cordless upright vacuum cleaner from a popular brand

The Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach is Anker’s first cordless upright vacuum cleaner. I have previously reviewed Eufy robot vacuum cleaners and I think they definitely deserve attention. Now let’s figure out if their hand-held vacuum cleaner turned out to be successful, the cost of which is $200. This is a reasonable price, but you need to figure out what exactly you will get for this money and, most importantly, how the Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach copes with its main task. Let`s find it out!

The vacuum cleaner came in such a branded box:

In addition to the main block, it contains:

1. Extension tube.
2. Basic floor nozzle.
3. Nozzle with soft brush.
4. Crevice nozzle.
5. Wall holder for a vacuum cleaner and one of the nozzles.
6. Fasteners for the holder.
7. User manual.
8. Power adapter for charging the vacuum cleaner.

The delivery set is standard. The only thing missing, when compared with analogues, is nozzles from a motorized brush for cleaning mattresses and furniture.

Design

Now let’s have a look at how the Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach is designed. Let’s start the review with the main block.

The vacuum cleaner turns on and off by pressing the trigger button. Fixing the trigger in the On position is not provided, so you have to constantly press the trigger by your fingers during the cleaning process, which is not very convenient. On top of the case there is a mechanical button for switching operating modes. There are only three of them: average, maximum and minimum. To switch modes, you need to use your second hand.

The joint for connecting the charger is located at the back under the handle. The battery is removable which is a plus. At the end of the main unit is a blown HEPA filter. The dust container can be removed very easily, in the same way as it is implemented in the Dreame P10 Pro. In my opinion – one of the most convenient design solutions. Another HEPA filter is installed in the dust collector, as well as a cyclone. The garbage from the flask can be shaken out through the top, if you remove the cyclone filter, or you can simply press the button and all the garbage will fall out through the bottom.

Yes, and it is important to note that there are indicator lights on the side of the handle that signal the remaining battery charge.

We reviewed the main block of the device, now let’s see how the nozzles are designed. All three nozzles are equipped with mechanical locks, which is a plus. With the combination brush head, the bristles can be moved if necessary.

But let’s review the main floor nozzle in more detail. Well, I immediately wanna mention the fact that the rollers are rubberized, so scratching the floor covering is excluded during the operation of the vacuum cleaner. This is a plus. There is an LED light on the front, which helps to detect dirt in dimly lit places.

The brush is removed from the seat after pressing the mechanical button, which opens the latch. No need to use an additional tool to remove the latch, as is done in most other upright vacuum cleaners. And this is really good! The brush shaft is equipped with short but very elastic bristles. This brush design is more suitable for cleaning carpets. Unfortunately, a replacement roller for smooth surfaces is not provided in the package.

Well, as for the bracket, all the nozzles included in the kit can be conveniently placed on it, this is a plus.

Overall, the build quality of the Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach is above average. The plastic is of high quality, no backlashes or streaks of paint were found.

Here I only want to note that the weight of the main block is 1639 grams, the extension tube is 263 grams, and the main floor nozzle is 604 grams. The total weight of the vacuum cleaner in the complete assembly is 2.5 kg. This is quite a standard indicator for vertical cordless vacuum cleaners. The noise level is based on the results of my own measurements, which I demonstrated in tests. Basically, let’s start with it.

In the minimum power mode, the noise level of the Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach is in the range of 72.5-73 dB. At medium power, the noise level slightly increases and reaches 73.5 dB. But at maximum power, the peak value was 77 dB. The noise level of this vacuum cleaner is below average, but the power is not so high.

Suction power

And speaking of actual suction power, it’s decent. Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach was able to suck out debris even from a 10 mm gap, so there are no complaints about power.

Battery life

We also check the battery life of the vacuum cleaner at maximum power. Exactly 8 and a half minutes Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach worked in Turbo mode, as stated by the manufacturer. The rate is not very high.

Garbage collection quality

The quality of the collection of various structures of debris from the laminate is good. The vacuum cleaner does not leave debris along the walls and in the corners. There are no blind spots and this is a plus. We see that the brush took the whole blow and wound the hair. All other debris is collected in the dust collector.

The same debris was scattered on the carpet and the HomeVac S11 Reach cleaned the carpet very thoroughly, leaving no trace of debris.

Carpet cleaning

Even on tiles, the vacuum cleaner does a good job of cleaning out the seams between the tiles. This test passed successfully!

Use of additional nozzles

With the help of additional nozzles you can perform local cleaning, including in the car interior and home furniture. In general, I think you will find a use for nozzles.

Summing up

The HomeVac S11 Reach was reviewed and tested in detail. I will share my own opinion about this cordless vacuum cleaner. Among the advantages I can highlight:

1. Good build quality.
2. Increased suction power.
3. Efficient dust collection on different floor coverings.
4. The presence of LED-backlight on the main nozzle for the floor.
5. Removable battery.
6. Stylish design.
7. Convenient storage of all nozzles on the wall holder.
8. Low noise level.
9. Availability of warranty and service support from the manufacturer.

Well, as for the shortcomings, they are also not few. I didn’t like the following:

1. There is no nozzle with a motorized brush for cleaning a soft furniture.
2. Wall charger is not included.
3. Short battery life at maximum power.
4. There is no latch of the trigger button in the On position.
5. No replacement fluff roller for hard surfaces.

If for someone the above comments are not critical, then if you have carpets and a budget of up to $200, the Eufy HomeVac S11 Reach is a good option. He coped with his main task, and it is important that the manufacturer is proven, and the product itself is of high quality. As a result, I see no reason not to recommend this cordless vacuum cleaner.
