Today we will review a interesting robot vacuum cleaner from Yeedi – Yeedi 2 Hybrid. At the time of publication, the price is $289. The manufacturer promises to keep this price, and during the period of sale, the robot will cost even less, about $ 259 (at the end of the review you can find a link to purchase with discount). So, this robot really surprised me. At such a cost, it is designed very well, it can simultaneously vacuum and mop the floor, it is equipped with advanced functionality, as well as a powerful engine. Next, I will review the novelty in detail and test it in real conditions. Let’s go!

Equipment
The robot vacuum cleaner is equipped with:
- Charging base with large adhesive base and cord storage.
- Power adapter.
- Operating Instructions.
- Nozzle for mopping with a fairly high-quality thick microfiber cloth.
- A set of disposable mopping pads for wet cleaning.
This is the entire package. There are no spare consumables and accessories in the box, as well as a control panel, this is a minus.
Design
Now let`s see how the robot is designed. It has a rounded shape, the top cover is white, the bottom is black. Case height is only 77 mm.
On top we see a single start / pause button and the main navigation organ – the camera.
Under the top cover there is a dust container, as well as a power on / off button, a Wi-Fi connection reset button, a QR code for downloading a mobile application and a brush for cleaning the dust container and central brush.
The dust container holds up to 430 ml of dry debris. On top there is a sticker with manufacturer’s recommendations for proper use of the container. We see that the filter can be washed with water, but the main thing is to dry it thoroughly after that. The dust collector has a triple filtration system based on a mesh, foam rubber and HEPA filter. The filter itself is glued, the sealant is visible around the perimeter. The container opens when you press the button on the side, inside there is a curtain that prevents accidental debris from falling out when the container is removed.
At the same place with the dust collector, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid has a water tank placed from the back side. This is the most convenient design of robot vacuum cleaners for dry and wet cleaning. There is no need to change the water tank to a dust collector, so the robot can vacuum and mop the floor at the same time.
Water tank holds up to 240 ml of water. Inside we see the pump, and this indicates that the water supply is electronically regulated.
6 fall protection sensors are installed from the bottom. That`s impressive! The robot is equipped with two side brushes and a bristle-petal turbo brush. The pile is not very dense, the design is not collapsible. But on the cover of the central brush there is a rubber shutter and protection against winding hair.
Well, here’s the reusable wet cleaning pad:
It is quite soft and thicker than ordinary mopping pads, very well executed. Probably the best quality of a napkin I’ve ever held in my hands.
In general, in terms of design and build quality, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid is 5-plus. No complaints, especially for the price segment of $250-300!

The characteristics are very impressive and can compete with analogues in this price segment. Next, we will check some of the declared characteristics in tests.
Functionality
Now let’s look at the functionality of the mobile application. Installation in my case went smooth. Interestingly, one of the installation steps is scanning the QR code with the camera of the robot itself, above which you need to place the screen of your smartphone. I haven’t seen this before.
So, in the application on the main screen, the robot saves the built map. The quality of cartography is high, as in premium models with a camera for navigation. There are 3 modes of operation: automatic, area and custom. In area mode, you can select the desired rooms for cleaning with the desired sequence, as well as the number of passes by the robot: one or two. In automatic mode, the robot simply cleans the entire available area. In custom mode, you can select the cleaning zones on the map and the number of passes.
By going to the map management section, you can set restricted areas, and there is a separate one for wet cleaning and for dry and wet, which is a plus. In addition, you can name rooms.
There is a cleaning log where you can view data on past cleanings, including built maps. You can also adjust the suction power, and with a wet mopping pad installed, the level of water supply to it.
You can set the cleaning schedule by time, day of the week, and even in the right rooms. Additionally, you can choose the language of voice alerts.
Well, in the “Cleaning Options” section, you can enable the continuation of cleaning after recharging at the base, set the do not disturb mode, and set the order in which rooms must be cleaned.
This is the main functionality. You can also change the name of the robot cleaner, monitor the status of consumables, read the help section, and update the firmware if necessary.
As you can see, all the advanced features are in the app. It is only important to note that the robot saves only one cleaning card in memory.
Testing
Navigation
First, let’s check the Yeedi 2 Hybrid’s navigation in the room with obstacles. First, the robot passed the entire available area with a snake. On the dryer, he did not get stuck, swept around the legs of the chair, but did not swap separately around the box. After cleaning with a snake, the robot passed the perimeter of the room and returned to the base. Navigation is good, the test passed successfully.
As far as cleaning the whole house, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid went through the entire available area, room by room, first with a snake, and after that it went through the entire perimeter and returned to the base. It took 41 minutes to clean 34 square meters, which he calculated as 29.
The robot is not fast, but not slow either. The speed is quite standard. The main thing is that there are no uncleaned zones left and the map is built accurately, the test was successfully passed.
Suction power
The suction power of the Yeedi 2 Hybrid is amazing. It sucked out debris well from slots up to 6 mm deep and was even able to partially suck out debris from 8 and 10 mm deep. This is excellent suction power, and the robot can be called powerful.
Dry cleaning on laminate
The quality of dry cleaning on the laminate also satisfying. The robot vacuum cleaner was able to pick up all the debris from the floor, while even practically swept out in two of the four corners. Excellent result, as for a round robot vacuum cleaner. The main part of the garbage is collected in the dust collector, the hair is wrapped around the brushes.
Carpet cleaning
And on the carpet, Yeedi 2 Hybrid showed a high quality of collecting hair, wool and small debris. After cleaning, there was no debris left on the carpet.
Mopping
The quality of wiping dirt from the floor is also high, the robot coped with the task, did not leave streaks or stains on the floor. The only remark, as all other robot vacuum cleaners, it does not sweep along the plinth. This is important to consider.
But for everyday wet cleaning, the Yeedi 2 Hybrid is perfect. I liked the quality of wet cleaning, the mopping pad leaves a steady mark and clings well to the floor. The tank will last for the entire cleaning cycle, i.e. for 80-100 sq.m. per charge, depending on the selected mode.
Passage of obstacles
Obstacle clearance is also good. The robot easily moves over a 2 centimeter threshold, as stated by the manufacturer.
Drive through dark surfaces
But the Yeedi 2 Hybrid recognizes dark surfaces as height differences, this is important to consider. Moreover, during the test on the carpet with dark brown stripes, he was not afraid, but the black carpet became a problem for him.
Noise level
Well, the last measure the noise level of the robot in different modes. At minimum power, the noise level is about 61 dB, in the average mode, about 66 dB, and at maximum power, the noise level does not exceed 67 dB. This is an average noise level for robot vacuum cleaners, but given the high suction power, the result is good.
Summing up
Yeedi 2 Hybrid was reviewed and tested. According to our rating system, he was able to score 62 out of 100 points. And given the cost, as well as the test results, I can say that this is most likely one of the best robot vacuum cleaners of 2021 in the price segment up to $300. There are a few comments that influenced the rating, but in the overall standings – I liked it, and I can recommend it for purchase.

Maybe for someone, these remarks will be not that important. But in general, we can say that the Yeedi 2 Hybrid is a very optimal robot vacuum cleaner in terms of functionality and performance for its money. Thanks to good navigation, high power and competent design, this robot is a favorite for me with a budget of up to $300. It is clearly better than Mijia 1C (or as it is also called Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop), as well as the Dreame F9 twin or other competitors on the market. So, I can surely recommend it for purchase.
That’s all, if you have any questions, ask them in the comments below. Happy tech shopping, bye!
