Hey guys, welcome to RobotObzor! Today, we have another new robot vacuum to review – the wireless mopping Dreame H13 Pro. The device has received a number of important updates in design and functions, compared with the previously released Dreame H12 Pro, which got really popular on the market. First of all, it self-cleans its brushes with hot water at the station. The roller are now dried faster. They also increased the suction power, added backlighting on the cleaning module, worked to stop hair winding on the roller, and made the vacuum easier than ever to operate by installing motors in the wheels. All in all, they did some serious work on an already good vacuum. The price at the start of sales is within $700. Now, I’ll test Dreame H13 Pro in detail, highlight the pros and cons, and let you know what I think. Don’t forget to like and subscribe, and let’s get rolling!

Kit
The vacuum came in this branded box:
Inside is the main station block, a detachable handle, an extra brush and Hepa-filter, a coarse filter for the dirty water tank, the brand’s detergent, a brush for cleaning and maintaining the robot as well as the manual.
The kit is good, having everything you need and more with the extras. This is very good!
Appearance
Now let’s take a look at Dreame H13 Pro’s design. It comes in black, and the design is standard – a cleaning module based on a roller brush, two water tanks, a display and a handle with buttons. Let’s stop on everything in detail.
First, let’s talk about the cleaning module. Like the H12 Pro, this new model has a brush that extends to the edges on both sides. The top cover can be removed, and it has spikes meant to prevent hair from coiling up. However, there’s a small gap between the cover and the roller, so they don’t actually touch.
The brush is removed by pressing the unlock button. It is put on a special holder with a rotating cross. The brush is made of soft bristles, but the manufacturer claims that the bristles have silver ions that stop the spread of germs. Behind the brush we see another comb for untangling hair, a suction hole and a scraper for sucking up liquid residue from the floor. Well, and most importantly – the new Dreame H13 Pro has added a backlight to the area being cleaned, helping it see in the dark.
What’s even more interesting – is the wheels of the vacuum have motors that help the robot glide on the floor when driving. The technology is called GlideWheel.
Above the cleaning module, there are two tanks: one for dirty water and one for clean water. The dirty water tank has a HEPA filter, mesh, electronic water level sensors, and a coarse filter to catch larger debris. It holds 700 ml (24 Oz.) of dirty water.
The clean water tank is bigger, at 900 ml (30 Oz.), and has a coarse filter and a special system that disinfects the water from germs. On top of the vacuum, there’s a big display that shows the battery level, selected mode, power level, and any service alerts.
The robot has four main modes: automatic, Turbo, water pre-sanitizing, and suction. In auto mode, the vacuum adjusts the suction power based on how dirty the floor is.
On the handle are buttons for power on/off, selecting the mode, as well as to start self-cleaning on the base.
And on the back side of the vacuum there’s one more button, with which you can customize the language for your notifications.
Let’s talk about the station, which does a lot more than just charge the device.
For starters, a metal plate heats up the water up to 60 C/154 F to clean the brush. The water gets fed under the roller, heats up, and then the self-cleaning starts, with all the dirty water getting sucked into the tank.
The brush even changes direction during this process to clean off better. After that, the drying kicks in, and here’s the cool part: the brush is completely dry in half an hour. This happens because the plate heats up again, blowing warm air at 60 C/154 F while the brush spins in different directions. Overall, this station makes cleaning a breeze!
Overall, we can see that the design has been tweaked for the better. I would like it to press against the floor closer, but this will be implemented in the already announced Dreame H14.
Technical features
Dreame H13 Pro’s main features, given by the manufacturer, are up on the screen:
- Battery: Li-Ion, 4900 mA*h.
- Power: 300 Wt.
- Suction power: up to 18 000 Pa.
- Work time: up to 45 mins.
- Clean water tank: 900 ml (30 Oz.).
- Dirty water tank: 700 ml (24 Oz.).
- Volume: 73-75 dB.
It’s worth highlighting the high suction power and the increased capacity of the water tanks. I checked the volume myself, staying within the range of 73-75 dB, which is pretty standard.
Testing
Video review Dreame H13 Pro:
Let’s get to testing! Dreame H13 Pro does a good job with everyday floor cleaning, both on laminate and tile. It leaves no streaks and, if used correctly, will not damage delicate floor coverings.
This device can be used not only for cleaning the floor, but also for collecting liquids. The robot even coped with my traditional test of cleaning up a mix of flour and eggs!
Dreame H13 Pro can also be used to wash the floor from slightly dried dirt. We can see that there are no marks or streaks left. The floor is perfectly clean.
Moreover, thanks to the brushes on both sides, which extend to the edge of the case, the robot can really get to the edge of the baseboard. In reality, the blind spot is only about 5 mm (0.19 In.), while most have a blind spot of around 15-20 mm (0.5-0.79 In.). But still, Dreame engineers have lots of room to grow.
Difficult dried stains like coffee and sauce can still be scrubbed off. Like in most other models, it takes a few tries, in my case about 6 minutes, but it can get the job done. We saw about the same result by Dreame H12 Pro, M13s and H12 Dual. And in all cases I used the brand’s detergent.
The vacuum does an awesome job vacuuming up different dirt off the floor without any problems. There’s still a blind spot in the corner, but the main thing is that most of the dirt around the room was picked up. That’s a plus!
Considering that this is a detergent vacuum cleaner, I wouldn’t use it for carpets. But it’s still possible, just don’t fill the tank up with water or use the water collection mode, which is just sucking up dirt without the water supply. Despite its fluffy structure, the brush picks up hair, fur and other dirt off the low carpet.
But it doesn’t make sense to use it on fluffy carpets due to the brush’s design. Although, again, the dirt can clog the suction hole and block the brush, which happened to me while testing, because without water the suction system doesn’t work correctly.
Overall, I recommend entrusting an upright vacuum or a more powerful robot vacuum for carpets. After all of the tests I ran it through self-cleaning, and yet again it seized to amaze me.
It does an awesome job self-cleaning thanks to the hot air and water, as well as the brush rotating while being cleaned. And after these hard tests, even the cleaning module was left, well, completely clean. Both the top cover and the platform are clean. Test passed with flying colors!
Drying is also in reality very efficient. After 30 minutes the brush is completely dry! Bravo, engineers!
Opinion
So we thoroughly reviewed and tested Dreame H13 Pro. Now I’ll go over the pros and cons, and let you know what I think. I liked the following:
- High quality floor cleaning and scrubbing.
- Cleans the floor along the baseboard better than most other models.
- High-quality self-cleaning with hot water.
- Full and very fast brush drying with hot air.
- Automatic power increase when dirt is detected.
- High suction power, judging by the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Good quality dirt collection on hard floors and low carpets.
- Back light for the area being cleaned.
- Wheels are equipped with motors for better control and literally glide the vacuum cleaner across the floor. Virtually adds no weight.
- Increased water tank capacity.
- Ergonomic design. Easy to use with one hand.
- Informative LED display on the body.
- Notifications in several languages.
- Good kit, including the brand’s detergent.
- Quality assembly.
- A stylish and modern design.
- Two levels of disinfection: in the clean water tank and in the brush material itself.
- Warranty and service available.
As for what could be imporved:
- Considering the price, it doesn’t transform into a dry vacuum cleaner like the Dreame H12 Dual and some other models in the lineup.
- Doesn’t tilt up close to the floor like the new Dreame H14.
- Doesn’t finish a narrow strip along the baseboard, although it is really narrow.
- Non-removable battery.
- No ability to adjust the water level.
The bottom line is that some of the drawbacks are as minor as those of previously released Dreame vacuum cleaners. That said, the Dreame H13 Pro has a number of new advantages that make it a good option to buy in 2024. It is efficient, convenient, functional and released by a time-tested brand. What more do you need!
